That's right. A new site.

I've been wanting to get a new site up and running for a while. I had been dissatisfied with the old PostNuke software, and had been looking for a better solution. I found it in a package called Drupal.

As you look around, you'll see a lot that looks like it always did. There's a forum, and a calendar of events. There's also the ability to post stories, so feel free to go right ahead and start writing!

There's also some new features. For example, you can use SECNCS.com to host a blog. There's also an RSS feed, so if you want to add that to your site, go right ahead. And, you can digg articles on the site (if you don't know what that means, don't worry... It's really cool... Honest!) If you have any suggestions for future addtions, let me know. I'll see if there's a Drupal module to add that functionality. For example, I'm looking at modules to add a gallery and personal bios.

All this snazzy goodness comes a bit of a price, however. If you have tried to log in to the old site in the last few days, you will have noticed that I accidentally wiped it out. Ol' Butterfingers worked his magic and sent the data off to Never-Never-Land. This means that all the forum posts were lost, as were the log in usernames and passwords. For what I've been reading, transferring them to PostNuke would have been a nightmare, so it might have been for the best. I apologize for this.

So, go out and kick the tires and take the new site for a spin around the block. I think you'll find it to be a much improved version of the previous site and has the potential to accomplish everything we'd ever wanted for the site and more.
