![]() Okay, for all of us that don't read the newsletter- The Big Fall Meeting is in Chattanooga this year! Between October 17 and October 19, please come enjoy the turning colors of the fall leaves and the camaraderie of your fellow NCSers of the SouthEast. Tom Bancroft and Rob Corley are the featured guest speakers telling us all about animation and their company. Clay Bennett will also come and tell us about cartooning in Chattanooga! And here's the thing: We're going to do another silent auction to raise money for The Milt Gross Fund and Make A Wish. So, if there's some cartooning memorabilia gathering dust in your attic, or an original of your art that you're willing to donate, then we'd love to have it for the auction. It doesn't have to be framed or matted, it simply has to get to Chattanooga ahead of us. Even if you can't attend, please make an effort to donate. The silent auction will be open to the public, so the money won't be coming entirely out of cartooning pockets. Mail your donations to: And here's the hotel information for your lovely trip to the Smokeys: Holiday Inn -- Chattanooga Choo Choo Our meeting dates are Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19, 2008. Mention that you are with the National Cartoonists Society when you are making your reservation. Rooms set aside for our meeting are at a rate of $92.00 per night. The cutoff date for reservations is Friday, September 26, 2008. After that date the hotel releases any available rooms that are being held for us. They will honor the group rate after that date if they are not sold out. Make your reservations early, as all the old folks coming into the area to see the leaves turn color will get 'em quick if we don't! Thanks! See you in the mountains!
