March 2008 Meeting

Yesterday I drove through heavy rain to go to the monthly meeting in Asheville. By the time I was hitting the state line the rain stopped and the late afternoon sun was poking through the clouds. When I arrived I mentioned it to David Barbour who also was struck by the beautiful skies. The bold clouds and whispy remains of clouds filled the sky. There were also beautiful shades of brown and orange as the sunset reflected off of the clouds. There were a few rainbows to be seen as well.

Jim had a great turnout for this month's meeting. He took names. That is all I am saying.

I asked for a small calzone and the manager of Frank's told me he could not do that. Other customers might see the less-than-enormous calzone and mistake it for a Pizza Pocket(r) which would ruin his reputation.

We talked about the Chattanooga meeting briefly, and it was brought up that if the group wants to do the 2009 meeting this would be a good time to start making some effort.

Phil Hawkins had the slipcased Sherlock Holmes book that he illustrated. You can find it here:
