Last night I drove down to the Land of Lotshaw, Athens, Georgia. Mickey Rooney and his wife, Jan, were putting on a show at the beautiful performing arts theater at the UGA campus. Out of a couple thousand seats it coincidentally happened that Pat DelVisco and his daughter were seated one row behind me and a couple of seats over. We recognized each other and talked about cartooning and heckling Jerry Lewis.

The Mickey Rooney show was a retrospective of his career with a lot of jokes and singing. He just turned 87, and the crowd loved him.
