![]() I found an Internet radio station that plays a lot of big band music and has interviews with older TV stars from time to time. The people running the shows apparently like animation and old time radio, too. Check out http://www.shokusradio.com You can see the show schedule, but I found the times shown are an hour off from what they should be. You can adjust that according to your own time zone. The station is in California, and I am three hours later. I think the schedule misrepresents things by an hour. Anyway, they have a game show called, "Anyone Can Play." It is a trivia show with fairly easy questions. Having listened to a few shows I felt comfortable trying to be a contestant, so I filled out the form on the web site. They contacted me last week via e-mail, and I was on a show taping last night. I cannot reveal anything about how I did, but I will discuss that after the show is broadcast on September 25. The schedule on the web site says September 18 even though I was told the 25th last night. Everyone who gets on the show gets a prize-- a game from a company called Endless Games. http://www.endlessgames.com You get something for being there and the show is fun! The commercials on Shokus Radio announce that they need contestants, and I was asked to encourage my friends to sign up. So, listen to the show, sign up, and mention me when you do. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate and thankful for the prize package. Let them know that I actually am spreading the word. |
