Short Clock Bump

There were too many threads that were old, so we needed something that had updated recently, and this is it.

Any time I get depressed that there isn't any activity on the board, I'll come here and post something as outrageous as I can think of. Which might not be much, depending.

If someone breaks into a home to burglarize it, and is shot dead by any inhabitant (grandma, dad, kid still teething, family pet) I am made happy by the news report. "Oh, good!" I think, "Damn thief dead, homeowner traumatized, but alive and with a good story to tell at family reunions." What I worry about is repraisals from the family members of the deceased. Do they all gather at the funeral and decide to go whup up on the folks that killed their kin? Sort of a Hatfield & McCoys or Clan feud thing? I doubt they plant ol' thief-boy and say to one another, "It's about time somebody shot him, I was afraid he was gonna take my TV again soon." or "I never liked him. We should go thank the family that blew him away while he was ransacking their personal property in the middle of the night."

So. Anybody seen this sort of thing in the papers? On "Good Morning, Name Of Your City Here"? or during a funeral?
